VILLAGE INFORMATION
Algarrobo - Traditional white village only five minutes drive from the sea front. Â Selection of bars, shops and restaurants and also has a Medical Centre. Â 40 minutes to Malaga airport.
Fogarate - hamlet only five minutes drive from the villages of Archez and Canillas de Albaida and ten minutes from Competa. Â Nearest coastline is 30 minutes drive and Malaga airport 1 hour.
Torrox - Traditional white village only a five minute drive from Torrox Costa. Â Torrox village has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants as well as doctor's surgery and pharmacy. Vh822b has now been sold.
Periana - Inland Town with good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Â Situated about 45 minutes from Malaga airport and 30 minutes to nearest coastline. Â The villas are situated about ten minutes drive outside of Periana.
Vinuela (Puente don Manuel) Friendly village with a growing British Population. Â Selection of bars, shops and restaurants, some of which are British run so an ideal place for anyone not speaking Spanish. Â Only a short drive from Lake Vinuela with its many lakeside restaurants. Â Malaga airport approximately 40 minutes drive, nearest coastline accessed within about 20 minutes.
Diamlos very quiet traditional spanish village. Â This village has now bars or restaurants but there are facilities in the nearby village of Corumbela. Â Approximately 20 minutes to the nearest coastline and about 45 minutes to Malaga airport.
Almayate - this property is situated in the older part of Almayate which is the former fishing village. Â Fantastic sea views and within walking distance of the beach. Â The newer part of Almayate has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Â Malaga airport about 50 minutes drive.

Alcaucin - never been there but reading the leaflet it is located in the northern part of Axarquia past Puente don Manuel. Â Moorish architecture lots of history. Â Really dont know anything else about it, Â Probably about 1 hour to Malaga airport.
Cutar - small traditional white Spanish village with small selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Â Signposted from Velez Malaga and is an inland mountain village.
Corumbela - again small traditional white village - smaller than Archez and has a small supermarket, bar and restaurant as well as doctor's surgery. Â About 25 minutes to coast and 1 hour to Malaga airport.
Puente don Manuel (the bridge of Don Manuel) is situated in the Axarquia region of Andalucia, 40 kilometres from Malaga and 14 kilometres from the coast.
The original village is set on a crossroads with roads leading from the coast and Velez-Malaga to Alcaucin, Zaffaraya, Periana and the Province of Granada. For centuries travellers have stopped here on their way to different destinations in the Axarquia and beyond.
With its close proximity to Lake Vinuela, Puente don Manuel has now become an extremely popular area in which to live and has a growing British community. Â It has a number of bars, shops, restaurants and even a take-away fish and chip shop.
